I got my bird coasters all framed up today and I am really happy with how they turned out! I think we will hang them in the remodeled bathroom.

Check out this fun project. I met a friend recently at Chili's for lunch and I stuck a stack of coasters from the table in my purse . I painted them with white gesso and then added these fun mixed media birds. There are 12 of them all together.... time to collect some more coasters!

Altar of LOVE

Today at lunch I was reading the Leo horoscope in the Reno News and Review. It said that I should begin making a "love altar" as soon as possible and I should continue building it throughout 2009. This made me smile.... and then I had one of those ah-ha moments when I thought my altar of love for 2009 is to get my creative spirit and space in order. I have been thinking a lot lately about painting and encaustics (my new love!) and about creating a space and time for creating.

So, this will be the "love altar" I will build in 2009 and hopefully my horoscope will be right for a change and I will become smarter, wilder and kinder in my approach to creating.....
